UN Goals

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) are a set of 17 interconnected global objectives established in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. These goals aim to address a wide range of global challenges, including poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace, and justice. This database has taken resources from external organizations and cross-listed them with the UN SDGs as a sortable field.

STEM and Community Engagement in Afterschool and Out-of-School Time Programs Dashboard

The Collective for Youth Empowerment in STEM & Society conducted research from Fall 2023 to Spring 2024 to examine how programs for teens integrate community engagement into STEM activities. This dashboard displays detailed program information to highlight the landscape of afterschool and OST programs operating at the intersections of youth empowerment, STEM, and civic engagement.

STEM and Community Engagement in the Afterschool Environment

Evaluation & Learning Consulting and CYESS collaborated on a comprehensive survey comprising 30 questions. Conducted via electronic dissemination in October 2023 using convenience sampling, leveraging the Afterschool Alliance’s network and social media, the survey aimed to gather key details about afterschool programs. It explored program locations, partnerships, demographics served, annual student engagement numbers, structure, educational objectives, and community engagement integration.
